crabtree's lawyer is weighing in. san francisco police are investigating the alleged incident, that said to have happened at a san francisco hotel early sunday morning - just hours after crabtree helped the niners blow out the packers. police say crabtree is cooperating in the investigation. and has not been detained or arrested.he is expected to play in tomorrow's n-f-c championship game. and late today crabtree's lawyer released a statement quote- "michael fully cooperated with the inspectors and will continue to do so throughout the investigation. out of respect and integrity for the process, we have no further comment at this time." >> we are now less than 24 hours away from tomorrow's noon kickoff in the nfc championship game between the niners and falcons. the winner goes to the super bowl. many 49ers fans are already in atlanta tonight getting warmed up for tomorrow's big game. kron 4's j.r. stone also made the trip.and he and has spent the day with niners die hards from the bay area. >> reporter: just 2,400 mi. away from san francisco i am in hotlanta however, it is colder here t

is steps away from where kevin collins disappeared in 1984. >> reporter: san francisco police are expected to release the name and the photo of the man who used to live in this house on masonic. he is longer alive but was a person of interest in the kevin collins. he was questioned after kevin vanished. he had an allah lib by -- alabi. the medical examiner believes the remains that they did found here are that of an animal. the last person kevin collins was talking to was a tall blond man with a big dog -- big dog. the man described like that used to live here. the dogs were never used in the initial search. so that's they came back. >> i just hope there's closure for the family members. very sad story. >> reporter: neighbors we talk to say the school kevin attended st. agnes never recovered after the disappearance, closing a few years later. >> right after that, st. agnes started to pull some of their children out of the school. >> it's concerning. >> reporter: this morning, neighbors are really just amazed that this case has resurfaced. kevin's mother says she feels numb and doesn't know

san francisco home. they are digging for clues in the cold case of 10 year-old kevin collins who went missing almost 30 years ago. >> good morning it is wind's aim anny hong . >> i am james. it was back in 1984 when 10 year-old kevin collins went missing. he was last seen leaving basketball practice at st. agnes school in the haight . >> we have a map that shows the important location the story. after living say agnes school cannon was last seen at a bus stop on oak street and masonic. the bones that police on earth are located in a home on masonic near page street. we've since learned of the maize appear to have belonged to an animal and are not human although investigators say more testing needs to be done. kron 4 spoke to kevin collins mother over the phone. she shared her thoughts. moments after the police told her about initial search at a home. >> i have been numb that is all i can say. it is hurtful to see them at that age especially my son who was a year older than kevin. he is the same size as kevin was. i can look at him and say that is how can unlooked. >> it all comes up.

cool for some of us. 29 in the bay. upper 30s to low 40s. san francisco, 40 degrees for you. into hillsburg, 32 for you. a little bit of patchy fog over the north bay valley including maybe a little bit of frost as well. icy roads not out of the question. 31 degrees in walnut creek. now that the sun is up, our temperatures will beginning to rebound. we have mostly sunny skies out there and if i back it up a little bit more, you can see how the cloud cover is pushed to the north. no rain in the forecast at least for the weekend and the first half of the wieck. we are looking -- week, we are looking at dry conditions as well. the temperatures above average and nearing 70 degrees in some areas. mid 60s for san jose. slightly warmer for tomorrow. monday, perhaps you have the three day weekend, going to be just as nice. as we get into wednesday, we are looking at the first possibility in a while of maybe some of that wet stuff. more coming up in just a bit, and i'll have an hour by hour detailed forecast coming up in just a bit. >>> coming up, we'll have more on the hostage crisi

the rain move in, possibly a cell moving over the bay. the bay bridge into san francisco. but the cold front makes its way through the afternoon hours. so 2:00 this afternoon most of us under rain. it will start to spread into concord and livermore where it will get cloudy and then as the front pushes through by 7:00, that's when we start to see things change and then turn into showers overnight into tomorrow. but look at sunday. it's actually looking pretty good. after 10:00 shower chances diminish and then we will see some sunny conditions even sunday afternoon into sunday evening. when all of this is over, rainfall totals not too much. mainly half an inch at the most. but look for up to .6-inch in the north bay and possibly up to.eight-inch along the coastal areas on the peninsula and the south bay and east bay .2 to .4-inch. a high of 53 in san rafael, 55 san francisco, 57 in san jose. look for upper 50s as well, mid-50s parts of monterey. and tomorrow overnight lows a little bit more moderate because of the cloud cover. so we will see more 40s and here's your accuweather seven-day

in the bay area now, 6:09, san francisco police are taking a new look at a cold case that involved a child who disappeared nearly 30 years ago. the renewed search sent officers to the haight-ashbury neighborhood. they are searching around a house on masonic avenue near page street there. and cbs 5 reporter anne makovec is on the scene with what neighbors remember about the time kevin collins went missing. >> reporter: good morning. there were some bones found in the duplex behind me. they are animal bones but further analysis is necessary. 10-year-old kevin collins was seen a block from here on the way home from school in 1984. witnesses say he was pushed into a car with two teenagers. police aren't saying why they have renewed their search for kevin but we do know cadaver dogs found bones under the concrete floor of the garage in the duplex. police say a man who lived in the house at the time matched the description of a man seen talking to kevin. that person has since died. but we spoke to a neighbor who knew the two men who lived here back in '84. >
